If you find a lot of Kiwis (people) fly in from New Zealand to Australia, then do not think they are there for any cricket match at the Melbourne cricket ground, but then for WORK and MONEY! I got to hear this from a friend of mine with Web Listings Inc., who I always find occupied with his computer over the Internet optimizing some of his client websites; and he had to share with me the story – he said, good job opportunities and higher wages in Australia are the prime reasons why 'more and more' New Zealanders are moving into that territory to make a living. Imagine, every week about 1000 Kiwis flying down to Australia; you will be surprised to know that Kiwis are contributing the most to the Australian economy, through the country's primary sector of – MINING and quarrying; yes, the land of Kangaroos is equally famous for minerals and resources, as Australia is the second largest producer of 'Gold' after China. Other than Gold, be it Iron ore, Uranium, Diamond, Opal or anything else, Australia definitely has an answer for all your needs; and no wonder why more than 90% of Kiwis earn mostly from the terrestrial resources in Australia through 'fly-in fly-out' (FIFO) jobs. And, with the New Year, Australia is expecting more of FIFO workers from New Zealand to fill in the mining sector jobs and other; more Kiwis will fly again with a hope of higher wages to have a secured life for their family members.
